Ran the following cars tonight and won: 1996-1998 GT Mustang 4.6L with Exhaust, and Intake 5spd. Ran twice, same results...

We lined up, each time, had a flagger, went green, he got the leap on me 1/2 a car or so, I was spinning. Once I got traction, I got up to his fender with my bumper, hit 2nd, pulled his bumper to my front passenger door, hit 3rd, he went back to my rear bumper after 3rd, and we both let off, each time same result. 4 GT stangs down so far, none have beaten me....

Next, was a older 280Z with a old V8 in it, he runs mid 14s at the track. Well we ran on a roll highway speed, 45-50 starting. I hit 2nd, then 3rd got 1/2 car, hit 4th, he was 1 car back. I am impressed, this guy beat me last time in my 2k....auto.. Got him back!

Also a Impreza 2.5RZ. MAN this car lanches off the line like a *****! he had it reved high and just shot out! Got 1 car instatly.... I had to do some major catch up, by end of 3rd I was ahead of him, 2 times... Hehe no comp.

I saw about 3 fire engines, 3-4 police cars, 1-2 ambulances.... I saw about 5-6 bikes on the side, 1 car, I saw tons of people in the middle divider. What I can figure I did not see a car, but i saw something that may have been a BIKE down in the middle. Obviously someone went to fast into that turn lost control of there bike and bit it. I hope there still alive....

Everyone needs to be careful please!

I think the Mustang GT is faster than the 4th gen, so it should be faster than the 5th gen. It's 500 lbs. heavier but has 40 more hp and 80 more ft-lbs. torque. Granted it's not for me and surprisingly it costs more than a Maxima. My boss has one. The funny thing I noticed when riding in it is the shift lever is slanted off to the left and has very little travel side-to-side.

If you are talkin about that White GT Russ, it's my buds 98 GT and it's an auto. He has exhaust, and the E-Ram supercharger. Was it that 280z with the jerk that drives it? I heard he went to jail for streetracing and being a jerk to the cops.

I belive when he said 96-98 he means the last style before the rebuild. Those 4.6L have 215hp and the 3.8l have 145hp. Terrible....just a damn shame. All that displacement to waste

Hey Russ, how was the 2.5RS? In terms of relative performance? Do you feel the rush when you accelerate in a 2.5RS as you do in a automatic Maxima? I know you raced one, but I'm guessing you have driven also.

I'm thinking of replacing my '91 Corolla with a 2.5RS, but it seems to be quite expensive.

I raced him (98 GT) last night on I-35. First run I pulled slowly on him with 4 people in the car and a full tank and AC on. We went up to 120 or at least I did... he hit his limiter at 115. Then we went again 2 more times and this time he slowly pulled on me to about 1/2 car length and then hit his limiter, turns out the first time he had his overdrive on. All he has is that E-Ram, different gears and exhaust.

No, believe me, it's a GT, it's a friend of mine. I've looked at the engine, it's a nice little V8. His limiter cuts in at 115 or 120, I have no idea why though. It is an automatic so that might be why. But I always thought they weren't speed limited myself.

It was a GT. It's like some of the fbody LS1 V8s have limiters as well at 120~. You have to see what tires come on them from the factory, etc, that all depends where the limiter is.
