Thanks, since I am retired I have the chance to work on my car anjd travel around the East Coast checking out my 11 grandchildren. I just came back a couple of weeks ago from Florida. Went to the DUB show in Miami and a couple of Maxima meets. This is the time to enjoy myself. Later Warren

I turn 30 in Oct. I sink way too much money into mods. As long as my investments are taken care of, the rest goes into my car. BTW, Warren, it was nice to meet you at the CFMA all Florida meet. Excelent burnout on the way out of the parking lot. At theat meet I made the comment that I feel like the old guy that is supposed to ushure in all these youngin's. A good friend reassured me it was ok b/c I act like I am 10 anyways. Good point, I say, good point.

My daughter is 9 and loves helping daddy with the car modding sickness I have. She one day will also be a fine young intelligent woman behind the wheel vice just a pretty pose next to a wheel. To quote my daughter, GIRLS RULE "my wife agrees" I guess daddy does also...

36 and still modding. One advantage we have is the ability to buy that S/C over the 18 year old whose P's bought them a max for graduation. Then blow his doors off when he comes up to us with a dragster wing on his trunk.

Just turned 38 and owned 4 Maxima's. ...Ive modded my Max enough to have neighborhood brat kids say "why would a car like that have a loud exhaust?". If they only knew about my 275hp, 6 speed car that would wipe out any so called "sport car"on the block..............

I'll be 68 this year. Just got my Maxima two weeks ago. After I get it broken in I'll probably add a grill and maybe some new wheels. Gotta get a Bel Pro RX75 radar detector installed first though since I still enjoy a fast drive when I can do it safely. Believe me, you'll probably never lose the urge to do a few mods here and there.

39 and still young!

I am 39 yo. I'm not modding as much, but like to dabble a bit. Besides, I will be working with my Niece on her Maxima. So, I'll have 2 Maximas to play with again.

I just posted this in Gen 4 section:

Possibly another Max in the Family:

Wanted a few opinions/thoughts on this.

Thinking of buying a 1997 Max SE. Pearl White, base model, Automatic. No leather, no sunroof or electric seats. I know the owner, and it was very well taken care of, no wrecks, never smoked in... Clean Car Fax and only 83K miles. Buying it for my Neice to get her around during her college years.

Did 97 Max SE's have standard Keyless Entry? The current owner has no key fob and she said she never had one. She bought the car used in 2002. I know the GLE had them standard since '95.

Buying it for $5500. That seems fair, what do you think?

The headlamps are starting to get that "hazy" look. What is the best way to clear that up? My '95 never got that, they were glass lamps, these are plastic. Something to look forward to on my 2002 huh?

The car drives like new. Doesn't seem as road noise free (quiet) as my 95 GLE, I guess GLEs had more sound deadening materials?

Anything else with the 1997 Maxima I need to be aware of?

Neice is pretty excited, She has always loved my Maximas.

And many thanks for any input.

Just turned 30 and I love turning wrenches. It's my relaxation. Some people do Golf, I just go to the garage. A bad day of turning wrenches for me is still a lot better than a day at work. I'm about ready to start a full on restoration of my Dad's old Mercedes 280S. I've done a lot of work to his 66 barracuda that he shows and enjoys.
