K&N Filters and noise?

If everything is stock and I use a K&N filter, will it make a big difference in sound? This on a 98 automatic Max. thanks

if its a cone...you will hear a slight increase at WOT...if its a drop in replacement...there won't be a change

I've got a '98 w/ the drop in. No dif in sound at all, though it revs easier over 3k rpm I've noticed.
When I removed the MAF screen a while back, there was definitely more "growl" in sound when at WOT.

It's a screen that is over the MAF sensor, which is the unit between the airbox and the throttle body. If you remove the airbox, you will see the screen there.
