LOL. This happended to my friend in his Jetta. We all stood around watching him bang on the steering wheel and calling his car every word in the book. Then about 5 of us got in and tried it nothing happended. My friend called AAA. Some random guy asked what was going on he jumped in the next thing you know the car started. One of the funniest nights ever.

Glad you got your car started!

I want you to box up your keys and send them to me, becuase you have no business being behind the wheel. Heaven forbid the day you leave you car in drive if its an auto and you cant get your keys out......

anwyas, i rolled it down a little but had to jerk the wheel at the same time. Iunno, compared to other cars my maxima's sterering wheel locks up harder than the others.

its a safety mechnism that locks the wheel. I think its for hills but i'm not sure. What you do is just wiggle the wheel to the left and right while trying to turn on the ignition. after a second or two, it should free up and you're good to go.
