Happen to my Honda that was sitting in front of my drive way. Had a full tank of gas and the next day it was empty. I didn't care because the car was totalled. So i got locking gas caps on all my cars.

I don't remember that in when I lived in Ukraine. What I do remember is gas stations having shot guns and guard dogs. And also going to "warehouses" to syphon gas.

I have noticed that the hysteria is kicking it up a notch--I've been spewing my "bedlam" theory as the thieves have no clue what they should charge anymore. At 2.79 the lines are out the station and onto the road. A Valero went up 30 cents overnight to 3 bucks, had to cash in on that easy money. The Sunoco that was 3.08 on the other hand only went up to 3.12. Yet ask any of these gasoline retailers and oil execs, and nobody ain't makin' no money. I just hope they have the sense to send their kids to Harvard so they don't have to thieve that way their parents do.

[QUOTE=Frank Fontaine]

These is a Shell and a BP station here on 4th Ave. in Brooklyn. The difference on high test used to be a few cents. This morning I went to get gas for my wife's car and the Shell station is charging 15 cents more for high test. $3.13 9/10 and thats just the begining.

Just think how cheap that super is, $0.15/$2.98 (3.13 minus 15 cents) = 5% more for super than regular. When regular was 1.099 and super 1.299, super was 18.2% more. So you can say super is cheap today, or, in reality, artificially priced. Just go to the phila airport, where each grade is 1 cent more than the last. I'm not kidding. It's like 3.219, 3.229, 3.239. If that doesn't show you it's totally irrelevant what they charge for each grade, I don't know what will!

I should of said super was $313 9/10 at Shell and $2.97 9/10 at BP which is a block away. Sorry

On the news today they showed a gas station in Atlanta, Ga charging over 6 dollars for gas. These owners should be put in jail. NJ Turnpike stations just went up to $2.899 for hign test. I quess I will be paying over $3.00 a gallon on my trip to Mass. this weekend. I can't let these prices ruin my way of life. I am retired and love to travel. I just came back from Fl. after a 3 week trip.

You may have to cut back on the stogies and the Jack Daniels, ramberg! But I imagine pigs may fly before that happens, lol!

The problem with Maximas is, they will take a flathead and pry your gas cover off then syphen it out. Which I dont mind them stealing my gas, but ****ing up the car is something else.

Holy crap, there should be a law that should prevent owners/companies from price gouging. Well up here in Canada, we can only wish to be paying what you guys are down south. To put this into perspective, our regular gas just shot up today to approximately $1.20 per litre. Even when accounting for exchange differences, we are getting hosed with taxes and price gouging as well.

Damn, I am in the wrong line of work. Anyone know if there are openings at these gas companies? :P
