HELP!!! How to get tree sap off my car!!???
I just discovered 5-6 pine tree sap blotches all over my trunk and hood. I already spent 20min scrubbing most of it off with a towel and water. But I still have the base or the ring of the blotch on the paint. And it WON'T scrub off! Any ideas? tricks?....etc? Thanks so much....

use a light paint thinner or something.
Get some paint thinner and DILUTE it with water like 1/2 and 1/2 and lightly with a little bit on a towel rub it. Should take it off nice and easy and shouldn't hurt your paint.

Get something from your local auto supply store for this - I use a product called 'Bug & Tar Remover'. Try it in an inconspicous place first, I've never had any problems. Just follow the directions on the bottle.

OK, thanks for the suggestions. But now I have another prob. I took off the front license plate to my car, and now have this brown dirt(?) square outline on my front bumper. It also won't scrub off with a towel and water. Will soap and water do it? Or will it require the tar remover/goo gone too?

I hit a pole a couple months ago and it left paint from the pole on it (No damage to the car) my buddy used laqour thinner and it took it right off.....he just put it on a rag then wiped it on took it right off, didn't have to wash it or anything....thats what I suggest
