What exactly is hesitation?
Is there a realy definition for hesitation or is it just your engine feeling slow?
Because I'm sure I could go from a Ferrari to a brand new Civic and complain that it hesitates...

I have never experienced hesitation with my Maxima. I suspect it relates to a delayed response to stepping on the gas. The car will respond, but slower than one would expect. If you are experiencing this type of sympton, start by replacing your PCV valve and perhaps your fuel filter and air cleaner.

Best I can describe it is that the engine response is slower than usual and the RPM don't increase as smoothly as they would if the car were not hesitating. It doesn't necessarily have to do with the time between punching the accelerator and the car accelerating, more like how long it takes to get from X RPM to Y RPM in any given gear, compared to when the car is running perfectly.

Anyways, people seem to have different definitions on hesitation because my car will accelerate better or worse just depending on the weather, but it's not really hesitation...
