Whose car (any generation) has the most miles on it. This shouldn't include rebuilt engines or engine replacements. Give me some responses, then tell you about I max I know.

 

I have a 95 SE with 157 thousand Kilometers....which is just under 100 thousand miles...

 

great. thanks for your input, but my intention was to find the car with the MOST miles. under 100k is kids stuff

dmontzmax states he is over 201K miles.

 

There was a guy on the 3rd gen forum not that long ago claiming close to 400k!! One dude has 220k, a new guy just posted few days ago with 290k.... dmontzmax has 200k+ like medsonic said... I don't know about 4th gens, i just don't think they were on the road long enough to reach 200k and stuff... but they will do it, as reliability seems to be a bit better with the 4th gens then the 3rd.

My bro had an 87 second gen Max with about 192k miles on it. Everything was falling about on the car cuz it wasnt't taken car of the right way but we never had any problems with the engine. Those second gens had some sweet engines. But the auto tranny was only so-so, we had it rebuilt twice.

 

My wife's 96 SE has 120k miles. I'm sure that other 4th gens far exceed that but what is significant is that it has only had 1 non-maintenance problem ever - a leaking oil pressure sending unit.

 

My 95se has 247,000 km's on her....and she runs like new! I must have one of the highest mileages on a max on this forum?!

i just hit a 100k miles... now thats a milestone

 

saw a 95 GLE 2 years ago at a local dealer with 315,000 miles for $8,999

 

Assuming that was in 1999, thats amazing. It works out to approx 216 miles a day, everyday, for four years.

how in the heck do you put 315k on a car??? Dang!!!! Im at about 146k right now, give or take a few due to the odometer breaking..I wonder how long my baby will last. Altho I need to get rid of her before I get to that point, cuz I still have a loan...

 

My uncle has 234k on his 89 3rd gen and he drives it to work everyday. Mine has 80k and it will hopefully go for another 100k

 

my dads 89 had 375K when he traded it in on a 97 (just the tripmeter worked and he recorded the mileage). the odo was stuck at 245,xxx. the only major repair was a tranny rebuild. all he did was change the oil every 3k and timing belt every 100k.
