Warner, those are Mike's old calipers. Wanda didn't like the brakes because every time she forgot she wasn't in the Altima, she nearly locked up the brakes and hit her head on the steering wheel! She had me put the brakes back to stock and I gave her a good price on the whole setup to use for display pieces.
I'll PM you my new cell #

TheLaw, yeah.. there's threads on it somewhere. you have to trim about 1/4" off the bottom edge of the 6th gen pad, but they will bolt right on after that.

well if matt was out of town then he wouldn't have posted half an hour after you did unless he had internet connection at where he was. also i already know that 6gen calipers fit with 6gen rotors but i never read anywhere besides this thread that you had to shave down the pad unless i missed it but whatever gets you happy about trying to flame go ahead. also not everyone can fork over money to donate.

thanks for the help matt. i was just making sure that i had the info correct. you'll be getting my business when my rotors give out.

Matt

Email me back when you get a chance. I wanna do that nice red powdercoating job on mine... Or pehaps even the bronze from the G Calipers... Whatever is easier to match in caliper paint.

If I get 10 people that want them, I'll be glad to do a GD for them... get them together for me and I'll do $500 a set..

Crossdrilled will be $20 additional.

no 2-pc rears are on the plan. due to the design of the drum parking brake inside the rotor, nobody will make me a hat unless I make it out of cast iron, and at that point there's no weight savings, thus no reason to spend that kind of cash on custom discs.

I thought you were going to make 2 pieces for the rear also. I know that you would need a special design for the use of the internal park brake mechanism, but what about 2 pieces for use with the stock rear caliper?

Also... a quote from www.blehmco.com

"Coming Soon--Front and Rear 2 Piece Rotor Set
I'm also working on producing a 2-piece rotor set for the front and rear for you hardcore folks. Keep checking back!"

shawn.. nail.. head...

getting one produced for the rear really isn't in the plans after doing some research on it. for the thousands it costs to get it developed, I'd sell only a tiny handfull and it wouldn't be a smart business move on my part. As much as I like coming up with new goodies for the community, I don't plan to do it at a financial loss.

the rear rotors can't be made much larger without making a custom parking brake cable for them due to the length limit of the cable. you can't even remove the stock caliper from the rotor without disconnecting the parking brake cable. very annoying. If you REALLY want to make them, you can contact Coleman Machine and givce them the dimensions.. they'll make a one-off set for you for about $850.

also realize I haven't had time to touch my website in almost a year. I unveiled that site the day before I left town for Maxus '05 and haven't had time to touch it since!

there probably isn't 10 people total that would be serious enough to lay down $500 for these rotors...as most people with maxima's aren't hardcore enough! too bad, I would love to get a $100 price break!

yeah, that's my issue as well. I had tons of interest when I had this stuff developed and laid out about $7k of my own money for these... now I have 12 sets in stock just sitting in the shop. I've sold three sets total out of the 15 I initially bought 10 months ago!

Matt, as you know I'm down for these. So 500 for blanks and 520 for slotters?

I'll even start a list:
name blank or slotted
1. kenji - slotted
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

edit: maybe if we can get this list to the halfway mark, it'll warrant starting an official GD?

If you are that interested in reducing your unsprung weight, dump the heavy G35 coupe 18s IMHO. The weight is even more towards the outside than any rotor would be.

You do know that the M45 and the new 06 350Z's use a 12.6x1.1 rotor as well right. i have not been able to check all the part #'s but i wouldn't be surprised if they were the same. Maybe you can start selling to those guys to help reduce your price since they are more likely to invest in this added braking. If you willing to ship me a set i will test fit them on my brother M45 and snap pics for you and ship them back (you pay shipping both ways off course).

Does anyone have the updated version of FAST? I only have 2003 and I would also like to compare partnumbers for various new parts.

Where's DAVEB when you need him?

I think matt could find someone in houston to test fit for him.. paying shipping both ways on these doesn't sound that smart imo..

Hey man just trying to be helpful to expand his customer base so he can lower cost> i would only need 1 rotor to try 1 side.

Currently, I don't have the time or resources to ship single rotors all over the country and ***** up other forums about my products. not that I wouldn't want to increase my customer base and make some money, but I just don't have the time for it.
