INSTALLED a new clutch....... BUTTTT........
it does this crazy vibration thing in first gear around 800-1500 rpm. my friend from nissan installed my spec clutch in my car. and when i start the car out in first or reverse, the car has a tendency to vibrate a lot especially when rolling backwards. does anybody know whats wrong? does it need to be broken into before it goes away? .

Ive had my Spec clutch for awhile with no probs. Ive done a few clutch jobs for my customers and their happy with it too. I have a friend spraying 75-100 shot on a Spec clutch and still going good. Juss cause theres a vibration problem dont automatically assume its a bad clutch. Alot of other things can cause vibrations.

Was the disc properly lined up when stabbing the transmission?
if not, it could have bent the input shaft. very rare and unlikely, but I've seen it.
more likely is the fact the flywheel wasn't resurfaced when replacing the clutch. that will cause chatter like that, and is one of the most common reasons. ALWAYS resurface the flywheel when changing clutches.
it could also be the clutch itself... I haven't heard a lot of good about spec clutches. in fact, my distributor has stopped selling them and now only ovvers ACT, unorthodox, and Exedy.
