2001 Maxima VQ30DE-K MAF on 03 VQ35 motor?

Will the 2001 VQ30DE-K MAF sensor work with the 2003 VQ35DE Maxima ECU? The plugs are the same.. but, I noticed that the MAF doesn't have the itnake temp sensor in it.

You need to swap the intake sensor in it and it will work.

Apparently... it doesn't work. The car bogs it's *** off when you go into open loop. I looked at the voltage in the FSM.. and it's off by 2-3 tenths at 2500rpm in the diagnostic section. I have a 2002 sensor on the way..

quite a few people have used the 3.0 maf on a 3.5 due to the major price difference. are you sure the 3.0 maf was good? some have not even transfered temp sensor and they just received a cel for the AIT. i would check the pins on the connector for damage.

Definately something screwy with the MAF... I measured 1 volt at idle... When I rev it up, it only goes up to 1.8 volts and the car starts bogging down. It gets up to about 3500rpm or so, and just sits there bogged down.. at 1.8 volts. So, something is up with the MAF. I'm getting the following voltage on the following pins..

Pin 1 (0-5 volt to ECU)- 1 volt idle, 1.8 volts max at any other RPM
Pin 2 (I believe this goes to the TPS, and a few other 5 volt acc's)- 4.5 volts
Pin 3 (ground)- 0 volts (obviously)
Pin 4 (12 volt switched)- 12 volts
Pin 5 (IAT sensor)- cut.. and goes to IAT sensor from 01 Maxima.

I hope my new MAF fixes this issue.
