VQ35 Sentra goes 12.9 @ 105mph!!

I am totally floored by what this car did tonight...

On a tiny 22x8 ET street tire... the car belted out consistent low 13 second passes.. and busted on a 12.9 @ 105 for the final pass. Now, this was on a 22" tire! I was well into 5th gear by the end of the track! If I had some 24.5" tall tires... it would have picked up some MPH and probably a tenth or 2 extra. The best 60ft I achieved, was a 1.905, and that was launching the car at 6K. I wowed a lot of people with this simple little car tonight. I can't want to get some of these swap kits out to you guys! This car is a friggen go-kart with a VQ in it..

Here's a few of the time slips..

Pretty nutty!!

Yup... the only thing it has done.. is a ghetto, short ram intake, and a 2.5" exhaust.. still has stock cats and resonator. No other mods whatsoever..

It's considered a DOT legal tire.. as far as NHRA/IHRA and DOT is concerned.. It grips well, but the sidewall doesn't give as much.. so you don't get as good of a bite on launch.

Stock it starts around 27xx lbs which is 300lbs less than an A32. With basic reductions and the larger motor I'm guessing maybe mid 26xx? Fantastic time either way.

Now would it be possible to cram it in a B13 and shave off another 250-350lbs?

I was amazed by the thing. It was so fast. That night was so perfect. Too bad my car wasn't up for running good times, but man that sentra was like a rocket.

tilley pulled off a 13.3, so did krismax, it's not too far off, with some work the 4th gen max's can be in the 12's all motor.

With bolt-on's... they run low-mid 14's.. I've seen people get into the 13's all motor.. but that's with cams, and head work.

Its nice to see all that hard work you put in to this project pay off. Very nice time!

I’m guessing your back in good terms with the people on thevboard? I remember some idiots over there giving you crap about something, I can’t remember, a turbo kit or something. I used to own a Spec-V and remember you very well from the vboard. Good luck!

My point was that they were surprised at what was done to the Sentra, were the intrigued by the 3.5L in your 4th gen Maxima, meaning have you told them in your typical BS covnersations?

Ahh yes, the VQ35 is the new Chevy 350 or Honda B series...lets see what all we can shove it into. I totally mean that in a good way. Freakin' amazing man!

12.9...Is that faster than a Z? Man would that be funny!
