it is basically some guy trying to make a 4th gen max sleeper. Here is the first post, you can imagine the rest......

a Maxima? One day (maybe next year if I get bored, and hit the lottery), I want to do a TT motor swap into a 4th gen Maxima. Actually it would be a lot more than a motor swap LOL. I figure I could use the TT rear end, making it rear wheel drive, I'd have to custom make a driveshaft (no big deal). I could use the TT tranny and computer. What to do about the front end has me a little concerned tho. And custom motor mounts could be difficult.
The Z will always be better looking, but damn what a sleeper!

Hmmm...you don't sound too impressed. Sorry for trying to be a little different and expanding some horizons. I'm not trying to goad anyone, I was hoping to get some feedback, encouragement, or advice from Maxima owners. I have a 5th gen Max and a TTZ, but a lot of the performance stuff on this particualr board seems pretty stale lately, so I thought I'd spruce things up.

Well, I really don't have a problem with Patrick posting a thread here pointing to a thread he started on another forum. It took me awhile to realize that it was he who'd started the TT thread also. There's no harm in asking for input.

Anyway, it's like you say, Patrick, you'd have to be bored and wealthy to take on a project like that. If you do it, let us know!

OK, that's cool. Sorry but I am lazy =)
I actually was hoping for some interaction between the Z guys and the Maxima guys, that's why I did it that way. And a few Max guys posted on TTnet, which is cool.
enjoy the ride.
