Weird discovery about cutting springs

I see your point, but this is one of those freak cases where nature actually hands you an impulse.
The case I'm referring to in particular is a spot on my drive to work... after you go over an overpass, there's a large dropoff as the road surfaces meet. at 80mph, my car is airborne over it. (ouch).
after said drop, the road is smooth asphalt with no additional undulations.
So essentially you drive off 12" high ramp onto road smooth as glass and the only thing acting on the car's suspension is the weight of the car and the impulse it was just sent by going down the ramp. Good way to watch the shocks do their thing as the cars bounce down the road.
