I broke down and got the V1 and it has paid for itself several times over. Way better than the Passport I used to have.

i did. i spliced into power in the sunroof controls and put a cigarette lighter adaptor up there so i can unplug it and put it in whatever car i want really quick.

I usually scan the center median for cops when i'm driving on the highway. A radar detector has helped me when the cops are hiding around the bends. I'd suggest it if you do any long highway drives - it's probably saved me from 5-6 tickets so far. Around town I really don't use it too much...
