I am finaly getting around to installing a y-pipe on my wives 98 GLE. On the rear manifold bank all of the studs came unscrewed with the nut still on them Can I just screw them back in like that? Do I have to get replacement studs? On the front bank the nuts came off normally.

 

Same problem with my buds 00. We couldnt get the stud to go back in so we are gonna try to take it to the exhaust shop and see what they can do.

 

The stud just screws back in....

 

Welll, I got them to screw back in and everything seems to be OK.
