weird alternator problem... need help bad!!

so i just got my BRAND NEW, $300, 125 amp alternator put in yesterday to accomidate my 1000 watt system and everything works fine except the battery light and "brake" light (the one that means your e-brake is up) periodically flash on for a moment and then sort of turn off but struggle to stay on, as if the lights are barely getting enough power or a wire is rubbing something very gently. sometime's they come on for a while and sometimes they don't come on at all. when they do come on, it's never completely solid, they flicker irradically and seem as if they're struggling to stay lit (like they'll kind-of dim, and go out then come back on)... it's really weird. all of the cables seem tight, i supposedly have a good battery, it's an optima yellow top and i had it load tested at autozone and they said it's fine. got any suggestions? i'd love to hear em!
fyi, i really don't think the alternator is bad because other than the 2 lights that periodically come on, the car seems to be running much better

Why did you post this question again, you already got your answers in your first post.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=465115

You've got a defective alternator.

He may not need to post where the other thread is, but it is against forum rules to be double-posting like this across forums.

Like he said, you've got your answers from that thread.

On another note, I'd watch who you get smart with, a few mods get ban happy over people disrespecting long time and well respected members of the org.

All I'm saying is there are some people who, if you get on their bad side, have mod friends that would have no problem temp- or perma-banning you as a favor.

And I never said I was a long time or well respected member of the org. 99% of the people on here don't even know I exist, but I can't say the same for njmaxseltd...
