For those with 300ZX calipers...
I was wondering of anyone else with 300ZX calipers ever has this issue or has had it in the past. I have noticed that my right side brakes make a creaking sound when I press the brake pedal. I've found that they are quiet when the brakes are cold but get noisier as the brakes warm up. Pads are worn about half-way through and rotors are also wearing perfectly normal on both sides. Caliper pins and, from the looks of it, hardware shims and clips are all smoothly moving and in place. The noise starts as I depress the brake pedal and stops once the pad hits the rotor. Braking response and force is just fine. No issues at all other than this creak.
I did some research on google and found this thread on some UK 300ZX forum:

seems like my issue. Just wondering if anyone else ran into this...
Calipers were completely rebuilt 30k miles ago and seals look just fine. No leaks at all. I am going to try and replace the pads and swap rotors for blanks instead of the slotted ones I have in there now... hopefully that does the trick

open the window and it sounds like a metallic-type creak. Nothing extremely loud, just annoying. I think it happens when the pads are worn more than half-way... never had it with newer pads. These have 30k on them now.

I have Axxis/PBR metal masters in there now... I've always liked them since they seem to hold up farily well under heavy braking. A little bit dusty and noisy, but they perform well. I have a set of new ones waiting to be installed...

common issue. remove, clean, and grease the slider pins holding the pads in. what's creaking is the dry metal-on-metal of the pads vs the pins when you press the pedal down.
easy confirmation: remove the pins from the caliper and stick a small wire or something in there to hold the pads in place. now go stomp on your brake pedal (don't go drive, just press the pedal), and you'll notice the noise is gone.

I thought it was the pins so I did grease them up a bit. I never took them out to do it, but they do rotate freely. I probably should have removed them to do that though thanks for the advice!
Anyhow, the pads are going as well as the rotors so it will get taken care of then... I can't stand the noise/vibration from these slotted rotors blanks for me from now on...
