Use a damp cloth with a small amount of peanut butter...may take a bit but works. Then use some cloth cleaner in case your interior is light.

If the seat is made of cloth (fabric) you can use a solvent cleaner on it in an aerosol form. The solvent brakes it up and you can slowly "comb" the gum out. I'm not sure where you could buy it, probably any store that specializes in cleaning products. It is readily available where I work and I was taught how to use it and several other helpful products.

You have to remove has much of the gum as you can with a blunt object like a spoon or even your nail. BE CAREFUL you could scratch the leather. If a mark is left behind from the gum, you should first try regular leather cleaner. If that doesn't work you can purchase a product called Strong Remover from any furniture store. It is a leather cleaning product and you just use a few dabs on a towel and lightly rub until it breaks up. This may seem too complicated, but it is the only way to completely remove the gum that I know of.

Try some Freeze spray

I've used the Freeze Spray, available in electronics supply stores. You simply spray the gum until it's frozen, then just pick it off.

You can use ice/dry ice, but it'll take longer to freeze the gum.

Use ice. It may take longer but it is safer. You cant beat frozen water. It works, I do it all the time. It will not damage the seats whether they are leather or cloth.

My friend used Quick & Brite on her daughers shorts...gum was on them for about a month (washing them didn't get it out) before she tried and it scraped it right off.

Goo Gone. Available almost anywhere. Test it on an inconspicuous spot first (i.e., follow the directions) but I've used it on everything from gum to tar to tape residue and never had it discolor anything or harm any finish.

yes, gasoline, or anything with petroleum distillates may also work. This stuff called AFTA is made for removal of adhesive...

WD40 will work. Just clean up the oil after you finish. I used it to also get gum out of my carpet.
