Does anyone know where to get this info, like how many cars like your(options, color, interior etc.) were made,
I wonder if nissan has a list like that, i know they are out there somewhere.

Ah Trophy Club FTW indeed.

After all the stuff I did to that car, you can not find the same setup anywhere.

Yeah... well considering 99% of the 1st gen. Maximas have gone
to car heaven I think mine is pretty unique. I wish I knew where
to look up option codes, production #s etc. but I have no idea.

My 1984 Maxima is a silver sedan and a 5-speed so it's probably
pretty typical & not exactly rare esp. in 1984 when people were
not pu$$ies who are too afraid to shift.

There are a few years missing in there...

I think my car is somewhat rare (not extremely rare), but it would be cool to have some kind of breakdown. A 92-94 5-speed is fairly hard to find. Plus, mine has leather and it's Aztec Red, which is somewhat harder to find. There are more rare colors. With all of the crap I have done to it, I know it is 100 percent unique, though.

It's for sale if anyone wants it!

this one does it for 3000GT's maybe someone can do something like this?

http://ypass.net/3s/story.php

heres an example of output

The Story of Your Car: VIN JA3AN74K0SY010993
Your 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is one of 1311 that received VIN numbers. Based on the order of the serial numbers, your car was the 724th out of the 1311 that were made that year.
There is 1 car matching your year and model with a serial number under 100. This car is most likely kept in a mueseum or was used for the final road testing, but CarFax information is generally not available for them. Since this car will probably never be sold or registered, your car is more accurately the 723rd out of the 1310 available. For more information on this, check out The Serial Number Problem

Your car was built in the 3rd week of August 1994. Of the 31759 vehicles made at the Nayoga plant, your car was the 10830th vehicle to be created that year.

There are 41 other cars that were made with both the same interior and exterior color. There are 42 cars with the same exterior color and 746 cars with the same interior color.

Note: The production order is assigned based on the order of the serial number.

Other Numbers
Exactly Identical (*) 7
Mechanically Identical (**) 111
Same Model+Option Package 128
Same Model+Build Date 27
* Model, Interior & Exterior color, Equipment, Chassis
** Model, Equipment, Chassis

wow that'd be really cool if there was something like that available for Maximas... nothing really important, but it's neat to know about your car's history.

I assume there weren't that many rosewood maximas....but only b/c it's a strange color, and I don't see many (that was a circular thought huh).

Here I see a ton of 95/96 maximas, but very few 97-99 so i have wondered if less were made, or they are just all somewhere else.

I figured these were pretty rare. I bought this in April of this year...

'02 SE MT6 with cloth interior, only driver side power seat, no LSD, no sunroof, no Bose, no heated anything, manual climate control.

Basically, a 6 speed manual with SE exterior and no options.

Probably the lightest 5.5 SE from the factory too.
