Need help with mt stereo.

I have a 98 Maxima that I love and I keep it in pristine condition (Totaly stock).
The Bose stereo ate a CD and will not kick it back out. So I assume the drive motor bit the dust.

I went to my local Circuit City to see what it would take to replace it and they informed me that if I were to purchase one of there low end $120 stereo's after they put in evrything to get it installed I would be paying $230 out the door.

So, I was thinking that I really like the OME that I have maybe I could buy a used one on ebay for say $100 and have it installed for $45.

What has been your experiences and what would you recommend?

Thanks for your input.

Take the unit out of the car yourself. Open it up and try to get the CD out or drop it off at an electronice repair shop and ask them to take a look at it.

Ebay does have used BOSE units from time to time. Removal and installation is very easy. You can do it yourself with basic tools. Search the net or this site just a little and you'll find exact removal and installation instructions.

The removal and installation are basic. Do it yourself either way and say some money. The install will be more if you do not buy the unit from Circuit City. FYI
