Car was keyed.

My baby was keyed recently in my backyard. I have a full alarm system with proximity sensor but I do not keep on being too sensitive. I also had a car cover on it. They lifted the car cover and made a long scratch on my passenger side 1/4 panel.

I am now in the process of contacting Security companies to install a security camera system in my backyard with remote access. I will no longer have this form of vandalism anymore.

I don't know anyone here. And I mind my own business, whoever it is they'll get what's coming to them.

I'll get the panel repainted and I'll install a closed circuit security system.

I may also install a wood shed something simple to park it in since I leave it open in my backyard.

Is it in a well lit place? If not get one of those flood lights to light it during the night. You can also get the motion sensor ones if you don't want them on all the time.

My son's 91 Max was vandalized twice....right in my drive way...long story.

What I did is install a two-way, motion sensor light:

Notice the "Buzzbulb" in the second socket. As soon as anyone so much as stepped on my drive way, the light would come on and the 90db Buzzbulb would blast. Check out this rig for a quick and effect deterent.

http://www.buzzbulb.com/

I had about 7-8 alarms after the first month of installation, then nothing ever since. The car hasn't been touched in 3 years now! CAN YOU SAY "PUNK PWNAGE". hehehehehe

It does suck my car was also keyed 4 foot mark along the drivers door to passengers door and they removed a valve stem saturday night. What i dont understand is the car was right in front of the garage with the flood light on. luckly the police caught 3 men and 1 of them confessed. Tomorrow im going to get some quotes.

Same thing happened to me, although I knew the *****. Ex... none the less she did me a favor and keyed the whole car. I took that azz to court and got myself a 2500.00 dollar paint job. I was in VA. at the time and you are only required to get one estimate. It's great when things make a full circle.

Thanks Eva... you'll never know how much I appreciated it in the long run

I (suspect) the 2001 Keying of my taurus was done by an ex (in that it happened the month of my ending a 2 yr relationship in a bad breakup). However, she denies it to this very day, and the car has been gone for 3 years now...but im wondering, Orgullo, how did you prove it?

She was a victim of circumstance. We just got threw breaking up and two / three days later she came by my house trippin. It was like two in the morning. After she left something told me to go and check my car. After doing so she, "someone" had keyed the whole car and stuck two tires.

Of course I called the cops and made a report and I told them of her coming over. They said well the time that she had came through and the time I last was at the car kind of puts her in the place at the right time. I have NO doubt it was her but you never know!

Yeah thats convenient, shes an idiot. I actually was at work parked in a lot in the back which backs to woods (an upsale suburban area, no crime), and I finished up my shift just after dark, and actually didnt notice the damage till I got home. I pull in and the light from the driveway made it obvious. The whole driver side, the fender, both doors (top to bottom, over and under the body side molding), the rear quarter panel, and the rear bumper. The car was only 5 yrs old at the time, and it was my first car.

Ended up having a family friend do the work for $600, but it was never the same because the car was silver so there wasnt a 'perfect' color match.

I was flipping and ended up blaming some guy I work with who was fired prior to the event, never thinking of my Ex. The guy got really angry and denied it, in retrospect I shouldnt have pointed the finger at him..it just was a really sucky situation.

Damn, one thing I hate just as much as thieves are vandals. Thank god my ride is garaged every night!!! +1 on someone you know or is comfortable enough with the neighborhood to go into your back yard and key it. IMO, a random stranger would not have taken the chance...
