Has anyone hooked this up themselves? All I need is to know which wire from the o2 sensor to hook into and where to do it at. thanks

Damn, i have learned so much.

Anyways, the best thing to do is to get a seperate o2 sensor and use that. You can use either banks of the o2 sensors but it wont be that accurate. I would sugguest a EGT instead. But if you want the a/f, i would get an extra sensor through Autometer. Enjoy!

The extra sensor should be mounted to the y-pipe. Either right after or before the flex section. I owuld only do this if you ahve a aftermarket y-pipe. I wouldnt mess with the OEM one. THe OEM retails for $1200 from dealer.

Does anyone here agree or disagree with this?

I tapped in to the white wire on the connector above the manifold. I used chiltons to find it. It seems to work, but the guage jumps from lean to rich when I hit the gas. Is this normal?

The Tomei i have in my car has an analog dial, and A/F Amp that reads the signal and converts it so the gauge shows exactly what my A/F ratio is. price difference is alot, but its worth it to me, since I have other plans.

Do they have a web site where I can find out info about their products or can you tell me where I can get some, because Im close to ordering my gauges and I dont want to buy something that isnt accurate.

The oxygen sensor puts out a dc (not pulsed)voltage proportional to the richness of the mixture. At full rich it is about 1 volt, at full lean it's about o volt. Most of the cheaper A/F monitors are just a bargraph dc voltmeter with a high impedance input. More segments is better (10 segments means .1 v per segment) and some try to translate the reading into mixture. It would be normal to get a fast movement upon nailing the gas - the fuel injection goes to open loop at wot.

I thought that the S-AFC would give you an air/fuel reading, and then you could adjust it accordingly.

It is a white wire in a harness under the hood. Mine is directly below the left side of my fstb. It is running from left to right. On the right side there are wires coming out. Tap into the white one with the purple wire from your a/f gauge. wallah.

ya that's what i thought but aren't our wires for O2 sensor shielded or something, i thought it wasn't good to do that if they were, maybe i'm just wrong but oh well. i'm mounting the solenoids now, just came to take a break and check mail.
