My friend has a 86 Iroc 5 sp with only 18,000 miles on it (was his uncles so there is odometer fraud here) and we raced last weekend. Lets just say his torque showed in first gear but once he shifted into second it was all over. My 3.0 showed him what was up and so did my shifting. (Im better but dont tell him that!) At 90 mph I was a good 3 car lengths in front. Too bad I cant do the same to my other friend with an aftermarket 350. LOL

 

The 205hp 86 IROC 5 speed will do high 15s at best. The GM 305 was pretty weak back in the day.

it's an 87 IROC auto. By now he prolly has about 20k miles (no odometer fraud here) and I think it's rated at about 225 hp and something like 275 lb-ft. Never ran it against the max or anything. When I took the IROC up on the highway, it seemed pretty weak on the top end. What it does have though is crazy torque!
