To be honest, I didn't even think about that. I guess I was still shocked over the what happened. It didn't really matter anyways since her insurance still covered 100% of it. Everything has been settled and they gave me $3200 for the car, which is more than twice what I could've sold it for. They offered to let me buy it back from them, but they wanted $400 for it. I didn't think that it would be worth it since I would have to pay $400 + the cost to have it towed from the auto body shop to my house + parts from the junkyard to fix it + future insurance on it when I already have another car + any future problems that it might have. Besides, my 2003 still needs its 60K service down. Now I have the money for all the parts.

Hmmmm... must be the moron brigde at work.

Friend of mines wife's car. Lady on a cell phone rammed her into the center divider.

Glad to see that things are at least going to be on the fair side for you.

j/k that sucks. In NY, they actually had to make it illegal to TEXT MESSAGE while driving. That kinda seems like common sense to me, but hey, it's obviously a big problem, getting more frequent than cell-phone usage because teenagers don't want to get pulled over for using their cell-phone; so, they text. Great compromise! At least you have both eyes on the road when you talk to someone

Glad you're okay. I know exactly how you feel. I lost my Max about two years ago in a similar wreck (inattentive teen driver).

Ouch That's why women shouldn't drive. Just as bad as driving while putting makeup on.

^^^^Easy tiger, it wasn't a woman that hit my car two days ago......or the last four accidents I have been in, have ALL been male drivers that caused the wreck.

Woman are cheaper (for the most part to insure), and we tend to be more cautious, whereas, young men tend to push the envelope with their need for adrenaline rushes......

Don't make this a 'stupid women drivers' thread. Just some women aren't very good.

Sorry to hear that. I had an accident in my 2001 Chevy Prizm with a Dodge Ram that pulled out in front of me when he was leaving Food World. He was cited and my beloved Chevy Prizm was totaled. I had to find another car, so I saw an add for this really nice 1999 Maxima GLE. I test drove it and bought it. So an accident was how I was able to get a Maxima.
