It's his name first fair and square, what do you think?

As usual, Nissan's lack of vision bit them in the a$$ and now they are blaming someone else for their own stupidity.

Message to Nissan:

GROW UP AND ACT LIKE YOU UNDERSTAND CAPTIALISM.

I think this is old news. I remember reading about this in the old old forums (maxima.org ofcourse). Honda emailed this honda-odyssey.com website owners and brought everything down last week. I am a member there too and so I had been to this site last week. It plain old SUCKS that Nissan would stoop to such lows. They should have infact offered the guy a big (undisclosed) sum of money and bought the URL instead of making a scene out of it!

Well, saying Nissan SUCKS in the title isn't really appropriate. Saying it within the thread though is fine.

I thought it would better explain the topic.....

This is definitely old news. Case is based on the anticybersquating laws. In the case of internet domains, special rules apply that sometimes would seem unfair but that's the law. First registrant of domain names does not imply legitimacy, neither does having any relationship to the registered domain name. It may seem unfair to some, but the laws clearly favor high profile corporations, entities, and celebrities.

As for the site mentioned, that is hardly a good source (being a propaganda site).

i think that it is clear that mr. nissan is using the domain name just because of it's popularity. i mean, he never updates his side content and most of his links are web revenue links that have nothing to do with his business.
