Ok, here the deal...I have a 95 GLE w/ 130,000 miles on it. I am going to try and sell that and get some money. At Carmax i found a nice 95' 5 speed maxima SE w/ 75k miles. It costs $9,995. I think this is a good deal, and also cuz Carmax cars are in good shape. But here's the thing...I won't be able to pay for the car all at once, but I have about $700 bucks from working plus the money from selling my current car. So do you think I should may payments to pay off the car I will buy? I guess I can do this, but I have to convice my dad...anybody got any suggestions? I know this sounds kinda weird...but I really want this car.

 

If you try and sell your car yourself, it could take up too much time. See how much it is worth trade in and go from there, or you might miss out. The deal is Ok but you could do a little better. I guess it really depends on your local market.

 

Be really nice to him for a few days than bam start up a general conversation about maximas and finaincing. It works for me

 

Yeah that is definitely worthwhile. Your car has the miles but the auto is easier to sell in most markets and close to a $1000 option when new. Depending on what the options are on both, I think that you might do a trade and lay out $1000-2000 cash. Start with $500 + trade offer.
