Just a friendly race between friends.......

I knew what I was in for It was fun none-the-less.

I thought I might have half a chance at higher speeds due to his AWD, but it only got worse. I couldnt believe how hard I got pulled in 3rd gear.

Next on the list is a new WRX.....Im setting that race up today.

I think I will fare better. But, he suggested a race in the rain. I politely declined

 

You should suggest a race when the temperature gets up to 110 or more :-)

Good luck against the WRX, looking at your 1/4 mile time, I bet you will beat him if he's stock. A good friend of mine has a WRX, and we have only raced at speed, 40mph punches and highway races, and he slowly but steadily pulls on me. I am stock however, and you are obviously faster than me. My friend raced 1/4 mile this last weekend, and ran a 15.0 because he didn't do a huge 6000 rpm clutch dump. I've heard the WRX can run about 14.5 or so with a big launch, so it looks like your 1/4 mile times would be close, he would obviously have you off the line and then you would start reeling him back in, so I say race from a roll or at highways speed and you have him.

 

Tell em to pick on someone his own size! :-) Like another two door. If you were running boost like him such as an SC or NOS it would be more of an appropriate race IMO. A two door AWD modded Turbo against a 4 Door NA Max? Jeez I hope that guy would win?

 

hey Larry, you want to buy my drag radials? My car is about back to stock now. Just let me know, I have drag radials and NOS. We should be coming down one of these days. I tell you what, sams car is frikin hallin azz, he put a test pipe on and it sounds like a damn supra. (LOL)

How did you run a 14.3 with just a CAI and a y-pipe?

 

to answer your question. It was about 30 degree and no humidity any he drives like he stole the frikin thing. He ran 14.3@ like 97mph I think.
