Well, The truck was a good distance up, and I was behind a Altima which was behind the truck. I had no idea what happened till the last minute. A piece of wood fell of this truck hit the altima which made it go into a SPIN like a tire rolling down the highway boucing, bit it was headed right toward my car with no time to react. I hit it, it went under the car making the godly ugly noises, and went out. I notice in my rear view I split it into 2 pieces... Pulled over down at a grocery store at the exit I needed to take, and looked under the car with a light. Front air dam, slightly messed up (paint ****ed), and you can see a few scrapes under the car, but nothing bad. No damage that I can really see. So I guess I was lucky!
Man, all I can say after looking at my bumper at night when its clean, the front bumper is terrible looking. Looks like there is OIL all over it, but there isn't, its pitted!

Reminds me of my encounter with wood on the highway back in the day. Long story short I didnt see it till the last second, swerved an bounced a table off my passenger door. Fishtailed back and forth in the median at 75mph, and got back in, I only lost two places in traffic

I've seen a bed on the Highway Once, that was some wierd stuff. One time there was a truck in front of me and a big sheet flew off of it on the Highway, it was two lanes wide!!! Whats up with these trucks dropping stuff all the time.
Man, Russ has an adventure everyday.
I almost hit a ladder about 6 months ago when I was traveling behind this truck and all of a sudden it appeared from under the truck. It was a big metal one too. I'm glad my suspension allowed me to swerve around it and am glad I remembered there were no cars in the lane next to me.

That was my problem, I wasn't sure either if there was a car next to me. It happened way to fast for me to do anything. And of course I was following the car in front of me too close so it didn't give me enough time to react. But the guy was ****ing me off driving SLOW. lol
Oh well.
Oh well.

Damn!!! someones out to get us....I feel like I'm stuck in a story that booker wrote
lol
Well I went to nissan today...grill $123 & headlight assembly $215. Even if I found these parts on my own I still think with getting them cheaper and getting the dents pulled it will come to more than $250 which is my deductble. In that case if I can turn it into my ins. co without my rates going up I will and just have my dealership fix them. Now I just gotta see if my ins. co will cover it 100% since it was a non avoidable moving violation

I also had an off road excursion some weeks ago when a wardrobe got loose and fell off the pick up truck that was carring it.
Apparently the owner had no schooling on what drag does to a flat surface at 75 mph. In slow motion i saw the rope break then the whole wardrobe "stood up" and tumbled out breaking into pieces.
I had to endure an impromptu slalom course as i went into the left shoulder to avoid the door's then back into the left lane to avoid the still sliding wardrobe.

Well Russ you were actually pretty lucky.
With my luck, the block would have hit my car, dented the bumper in, which would have dented the ATF cooler, causing a massive leak, destroying the transmission. The ATF cooler would crash through the condensor, killing my AC, and the condensor would in turn damage the radiator, causing coolant loss and cooking the engine.
