While I was getting my oil changed on my '94, I test drove a 2002 GLE in Majestic Blue. Let me put it this way, I was after the test drive. I had this car up to 80 on 2 main throughfares and was amazed at the immediacy of thrust.
Also, it did not have any engine noise when I stomped on it.

I did not get a chance to do any handling tests but the steering seems to be more precise and quicker in response.

I was in love with the acceleration of this particular unit. The way this car takes off, it rivals quite a few V8s in terms of punch and smoothness.

I drove an '01 AE for a test and this beat it in terms of quietness hands down. It was almost Lexus-like in terms of interior noise. As far as interior room, I was very pleased because I found a seating position rather easily.

The biggest was the Sales Manager lighting up after I pulled back in. He thought I was going to buy it right then and there, but my salesman said "Not Yet. But they did say that since they have all my maintenance and repair receipts there, that will enhance my trade in value.
