my friend and I got in an accident this weekend on the way to Seattle. I wasn't driving and we didn't have my Max, thank God! We were in his 2k1 Civic and neither one of us were seriously hurt. I've got some pics of the hole in my melon, follow the link if interested:

2k1 civic vs. 2000 maxima

obviously the 2k1 civic is no comparison to the already-awesome 5th gen maxima.

my question is, for the maxima, has anyone ever come up with a mod to remove the "hump" on the floor in the back seat, since they did it in the new civic? what's under there anyways?

Glad to hear it's just surface damage... didn't rattle anything important.

AHHHHHHH!!! Are you sure that wouldn't count as serious? That completely grossed me out man. Good to hear you're alright. Maybe you need to drive with a helmet from now on

will see how serious

I'm in the middle of settleing my claim with the insurance company! I guess I'll find out how serious it is. Anyone have any experience with this and might have a few pointers? Here are my problems:
-4" cut on head (you've probably already seen that one)
-lower back pain (torn ligaments, nio disk damage)
-neck pains
-bruised pelvis (very sore)
-bruised knees
-dizziness and even forgetfulness (I guess from the concussion)

*at least 60 days of physical therapy (3 times a week) for my back
*not sure about the head problems yet
*I also play paintball for a living, seems crazy but thats what I do and I'm going to miss many events over the next 60 days. (probably close to $10k in possible prize money)

-My laptop, leather bag and glasses were also destroyed but they are handling those outside of the settlement!

?anyone have any idea what kind of $ I should ask for? I'm new at this?

Dude, that sux. Not to make light of the situation, but you could send those pics to rotten.com and be a star!

Hope everything works out OK. I don't know that the ins co is going to reimburse you much for lost wages since the 10K was potential prize money.

ya I didn't figure I'd be able to claim the potential prize money but i thought I better stick it in there just in case. Maybe if my team gets some of that cash without me, I'll have a shot at some of it.
