I've had the Stillen Intake since May. To be honest I am very disappointed with the performance in the low RPM range. I'm not a racer so high RPM power is not my concern. Without a doubt, I love the growl it makes. I picture a raging bull when I hear the intake come to life.

I've been thinking of buying a CAI instead. Off the line power should be an improvement over stock with the CAI, right?

OK former pop-intake owners. Let me hear your stories.

Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you, since i have a Y pipe i dont' think i'll need to worry as much about high end power, but I really dislike the loss of low end coming from the stillen intake. Would a CAI make a big difference? I've seen dyno graphs and it seems that the HP gain between the two is very similar but maybe I would just feel it a bit more on the low end?

ok here's how i feel on this, i went from HAI(SI) to a CAI. i feel my low end is much better with this though not quite stock. the mid range is awesome and the top is equal to or maybe a teeny bit less than the SI. Over all it looks nice and sounds even meaner the the SI. One reason i did get it though was because of the nos jet.

I switched from SI to CAI a while back. You can't really see a difference on the dyno with the CAI because it can't simulate real airflow. madmax2k went tried the SI and his 1/4 time increased.

I did the switch 2 wks ago
I personally love the CAI, now my y-pipe makes a little more sense. My low end tq is great but I do still miss the the high end power that I had with the Pop charger. My car is running faster than ever in the 1/4 and I seriously think I can hit 16.1 in my VG
