justification for higher modification... they remind me of an accord owner at my local track who wanted to race.... he asked me what I ran and I said that I had a "crazy mad intake" and I could run 16.5s all day long... needless so say I smoked him so bad his friends were laughing at him... I ran a 14.74 I think and he ran a 17.somethiing....

After I was talking to him and his honduh friends about how slow all of their cars were (they were all in the (14.8-18 range) and they were all saying that they were going to get engine swaps and more stickers (j/k about the stickers and the only guy who ran the 14.8 already had a b16). I told them all that I would be waiting whenever they are ready. ejj later told me to leave them alone.

Let them think what they want. I have not been impressed by 1 SI that runs @ E-town. However the Type-R's are a different story. Mad respect for them.

Stang boy likes to talk doesnt he? Maybe i should post the MPEG of me walking a 5.0 in the q-mile for him.

Let people think what they want...im sure they have beaten Maximas and im sure we have returned favors...but blowing stories out of water like he claims is just..

Bunch of Yahoo's .. didn't read the post ... but last nite I walked 2 of them .. well .. one was an SI-R .. that's the SI in the US ... & one was an older Civic ... beat up ... I had a sh!tty launch ... but those things cannot handle the power of the VQ30DE ... there's just no way ... the newer SI-R was actually far behind the beater ride even!

oooo

i'ld like to see that mpeg. i hate people who talk smack.
its funny i was in upstate NY the past few days in a little town called herkimer and the one remotely modded car i saw (early 90's civic hatch) was trying to race me near the town border where i got on to the highway to go home. this dude was trying so hard......i set it on cruise at 70 and coasted past him when he got stuck behing a truck as he insisted on bobbing and weaving every freaking lane he could get on. and would you believe the sob gave me the finger when i passed him? i was like damn..i wasn't even trying to burn him. so i instantly went into that mode which makes my girfriend hyperventilate and i took off, then realized i wasted my time.... sigh......

The guy even said in the post that he wasn't stock, and that his car runs 13s. If that's true, then 10 car lengths by 130 is believable on a stock Maxima.

Actually that guy is heavily modded. Heavily!!. Look at his profile. And to Synki, Before in your previous post about 13 second and down maximas, that is all very serious racing modifications like engine swaps, and NOS. I dont like NOS, and i dont belive in it unless your are a hardcore drag racer etc. And when you said confused was running low 13's why did i see him run a 15 something at maxus his first run before he destroyed his clutch.

I personally like NOS but its ok if you dont like it. And i respect that. I personally dont think its only for hardcore guys but whatever. We all have our own opinions.

When he ran a 15, he was spinning. Brett has a car that is potential low 13's. I never said he ran low 13's. He has every bolt on mod plus the V1. The only thing is that he had was a bad clutch when he was @ Maxus. Plus its a new track. There are too many causes. He is not use to the extra power. He hasnt had the V1 on that long.

I have ran a 14.9 on NOS but that was because of wheel spin and running at a new track (75-80). Here at Englishtown i run consistent 14.4's. What gices? TOo many factors.

Dont take this as a flame or any arguement.

..

You also might have seen me run a 17.x on my first run. I don't think you saw me hand in my 14.x timeslip to win a digicam for 2nd fastest run of the day (timesip proven).

The point is, the stock clutch can't handle the boost. I ran 14.x without the blower. Synki saw the potential of the car on the way home from Maxus in a higher gear where the clutch was holding it's own. Based on that and his times at E-town, I agree that there is potential for a 13.x second max but I won't have a timeslip to prove it until September.

Aaron,

I am against street racing in residential areas where innocent bystanders may be endangered ... we were in the middle of nowhere coming back from a managers house ...

See the only thing is though, you gave me this list of fast maximas, like 10 second maximas, and i never got to reply, but i just wanted to say that they all had serious racing modifications and/or NOS. Im talking about bolt on stuff here, and I know there isnt a maxima with bolt on **** that has a timeslip lower than high 13's unless they have like a 200 shot of NOS.

His clutch was trash when he got to Maxus. The "15 something" times were when the people on the sidelines heard him swearing from inside his car and yes, his windows were up too. He has a bad time with at clutch.
