Maxima.org downtime -- YOU pick the time!

Ok, thanks for the opinion.
Thanks for the constructive, yet useful, input.
An ounce of research in the feedback forum and you would understand the slowness. But keeping ignorant is what you have chosen to do. Your connection speed doesn't matter in this case.
But, finding this out requires effort.
I say do it now!

It's about d*** time you guys get a new server.

This forum has so much on it that it slows down way to much, even when using a DSL line.

Mr. Maxima.org,
Thanks for your consideration, but it's you who will have to spend the time moving all the data and debug on the new site. We are participants and we can afford to miss any day or two of Maxima Forums.
Just give us couple of days of announcement saying when it will be down and implement it. I don't believe any of the Maxima.org members will flame you for it. In fact, we will be thanking you once we move to a faster server!!!

SUNDAY, SEPT. 16th from 8AM to 5 PM
The Maxima.org site will be down on Sunday, September 16th from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. for a server upgrade. There will only be sporadic accessibility during this time. All forums will be offline during the outage.
In addition, the new server requires a DNS change, so access to the site may be inconsistent at times as the domain name is re-pointed to the new server. Please be aware of this change.
We thank you for your patience and hope that you will enjoy the new performance of this server.

Maybe you should make the font size bigger ... and in red ... and underlined ... and bold.
Nobody would miss it then.
