NOS info for the masses

okay just so that i can understand better, then how does the kit work without a timing schedule? So with my kit I can't adjust the RPM spray levels? Does it have a predetermined RPM set? If not, then to make this safe and usable I need a window switch, EGT gauge, A/F gauge, and that's it pretty much. Right? My computer is really slow and it takes forever to load these pages. Sorry.

To set it up to run and cut off at a certain RPM, you will need a window switch. Anything over a 50 shot, get the guages. Good luck.

I just have a couple of quick questions. With a 50 shot kit, is it safe to assume I don't need anything else besides the kit? Is it really a WHOLE lot harder to install without a CAI? Also I have an auto tranny. Would my stock auto tranny be able to handle 50 shots? Would I need a window switch with my auto, or only recommended with a 5speed? I'm guessing the tank can't be left open for a long time, what is the longest period the tank can be left open? Last question, where do you get the tank charged with nitrous? Specifically in Atlanta. Thanks!

I accidently left my bottle on for 2 weeks once. If your gonna get NOS, why not upgrade your intake? You can get a window switch, It will keep you from spraying between shifts and take some stress off of your tranny, not to mention protect from the unknown...

Read the manual, the 5122 has a 50 shot jet, the 5123 has a 60, and the 5124 has a 70 shot. That's what my manual says.

Read the manual though. Tell me how many jets the 5124 kit comes with. It comes with a jet for 70 hp. You can adjust it by buying new jets, but the kit comes from Holley jetted for 70 hp.

MSD Ignition RPM switch
Now I hear that the switch needs to be sent to MSD so that they can modify it so that it will work in the Maxima. Is this true. I remember reading about this but a thread I read said that it the MSD guys said it will work for our cars. What is the right way to go. I have my NOS kit waiting in the house. Can I put the kit on and then add the switch later or do it all at once?

Re: MSD Ignition RPM switch
DOM: You can install your kit and add the MSD window switch later. It needs to be sent to MSD to be modified to work with a distributorless ignition, cost about $35 and you can usually have it back within a week.
Shadow and BlingedMax: Why are you guys argueing over the jet sizes? Who cares? It comes with a 50 shot, a 60 shot, and a 70 shot, or a .032, .034, .036, and a .042 for the fuel jetting. Okay!
