RSB is awesome...installation was a ***** though

I installed the Addco RSB yesterday. And whoever made this product didn't know what they were doing because the U-bolts for the trailing arms weren't even close to fitting. I had to bend them and Addco could have gave us longer bolts. I could only get the nut on up to about 5 threads. I took like 2 and a half hrs to complete it. (that inicluded jacking it up/down and taking the wheels on/off). Did anyone else have these problems? All I have to say is that it was worth it though. The car is flatter in the turns and a lot of body roll was eliminated. I love taking the turns fast.

Wow

It took me an hour to do mine (taking off the wheels and jacking the car up and down). I installed the Stillen RSB on my friend's I30 and took an hour with both of us working. I did one last Addco RSB on a friends Maxima and finished it in 20 minutes as we both worked on it.

I think Addco probably bends the u-bolts by hand (or some sort of lever) and they just dont get some of the measured out correctly

Woops

Woops, my bad. I misread the post, I thought you said the arms weren't LONG enough to get round it the axle.

I had to take a hammer to mine as well, it wasn't too bad, I was only able to get the RSB on by putting the u-bolts on in a certain order. Rubber hammer is definately helpful with this install.

I used a rubber mallet when I installed mine. No problems at all. The lock nuts are rubber lined so they are just as tight now as they were when I put them on three years ago.

yea, I had the same problem installing my rsb. It took me a long time, about 2 hours as well, with 3 people trying to help. I was too lazy to take my rims off to do it so i think that also contributed to the delay. But those U-bolts for the trailing arms just plain suck. The sizes were way off. I broke a sweat trying to get those things on, but it was worth it.

I called up Addco at 1-800-338-7015 and spoke to someone (forgot his name) on ext. 107 and told him that the brackets didn't fit. He said that he would send news ones as soon as they were made up.

Haha, this may sound kinda sketchy but since I didn't have enough range of movement to hammer the U bolts on, I just used a metal file on the car to get the bar down to the right size for the U bolts to fit on, took a long time but was worth it in the end.
