Cai Help!!!

I just installed my cold air intake, and I have a few questions that sorta need to be answered ASAP.. The temp sensor seems to just lay in the small tube, do I jam it in? Tape it? and does it matter if the Filter is touching the fender wall? I dont think it is.. I closed the plastic peices back up, so how would I know if it was? would it rattle? Help..
