1. Acura TLS
2. 2k2 Max (auto)
3. 2k1 Max (auto, new on dealer lot)

Ok, I like the TLS but it's a bit on the pricey side. I also like the 2k2 but the wife wants an automatic. Courtesy Nissan has a new 2k1 on the lot and since the wife won't get a 2k2 6spd, I figure I'd try and work a deal on the 2k1. Here's the details: Fully loaded 2k1 auto, leather, sunroof, bose....Stickered at $29,500. Base price is ~$24.5k. What price should I shoot for?
If I can't get it CHEAP, I'll look at a 2k2. But if it's only $2,000 less than a TLS, I'd be more inclined to go Acura. Ideas?

Well, it's October already, so the dealer should be selling the 2k1 Max for invoice, or even below invoice!

I have to agree that you should shoot for invoice. But you gotta low ball a little and see how badly they want to get rid of it.
