Does it have to be SNEL approved or is DOT ok?

They don't really check carefully, as long as you were some kinda helmet.

Snell 85 or newer. Some officials do check and if you're using one that is not allowed, they'll kick yer *** out.

if you're not sure...rent one of the cheesy ones at the track...they're like 3 bucks for the day...

Snell m85 or above is usually what road races require..
(usually Snell 95...)

motorcycle helmets (most of the time) is snell 85, i got lucky and found me a snell 95 helmut for $80.00...

works fine, but if you're serious about racing, get a simpson or bell OPENface helmet.. around $190-250...

confused and phil96se..
i doubt i'm runnin so i'll bring my helmet and you guys could use it if you like...

Its a motorcycle helmet .. personally i don't think they care what kinda helmet it is but mines is approved anyways..

I may have two helmet so let me know if i should bring both viz email or post..

Etown is my home track...

I'm there at least once a week during the season...

TRUST ME...you can wear a hardhat if you want...
they could care less!

Now if this were a NIRA event...then you'd have to worry.
But for an event such as Survival Series...No worries!

Bring whatcha got!
