Annoying rattle/buzz from inside my muffler from 2300-2500rpms

For the past 3 months, I've had a rattle/buzz that comes from my exhaust in 1st and 2nd and occurs from 2300-2500rpms. At first, the rattle/buzz went away after the exhaust warmed up. Now it happens all the time. I use to think it was a catalytic brick that came loose inside my RT cat. I removed the RT cat and the sound was still there. I've removed my whole exhaust and inspected everything and the rattle/buzz is still there. The sound only seems to come from the muffler (stock). Has anyone had this problem before?

My Y-pipe makes my muffler have a buzz at 2200-2600 RPM. Maybe it's the cause of a "not so good" flex section in your Y-Pipe.

I doubt you have the same problem, but on my car the problem was from the license plate holder in the rear. The 2 bolts that hold the top of the license plate were to long and they were hitting a metal directly behind the rear bumper, so when I was at lower rpms I think the muffler would cause the license plate to shake causing the sound. At least thats what happened on my car.

Your muffler sounds like it's rusting from the inside out.

it's the muffler

I don't have the stock muffler, but mine is doing the same thing. It started out as a rattle or a buzz only when the car was cold, but now it rattles and sounds like a cow bell when its cold and buzzes slightly when it is warmed up. The inside baffle on my muffler is broken. I was told I could take it and have the inside welded back in, but I am not sure.
