HID help

I want to convert to HIDs but i don't know too much about them. My friend did it too his jeep and it looks sick but he has only the low beams, doing the highs would mean a whole new wiring set up. But my question is, do the bixenon kits have the highs/lows? I know i probably wouldn't need the highs but i would like to have them. Thanks!

You will need/seriously want highs, as I can't imagine driving without them. And yes, bi-xenon kits will have highs and lows, typically by using a movable shield around the bulb.

The money you spend on kits can be used for a retro. If youtake your time you can get .

In the stock 96 you are going to scatter light everywhere. I say retro but if you are strapped for cash at least get some clear headlights and make a glare shiled to cut down on glare.

well halogens do scatter but they arent bright enough to cause problems. Hids are ungodly bright and with the same scatter as a halogen bulb you are going to blind people . That s the last thing i want, the person comming at me not able to see.

in my opinion halogens aren't a big of a difference from the stock bulbs .they look better but once it comes to rain, you cant see anything lol i have H.I.D in my 97 . i just aimed them down not too blind people. but yea 96 lights are different so cant tell

Honestly the r34 one pieces dont glare as bad with hids as i have them in now. But i would say save your money and do a retro. not really that expensive if you really look at the cost of things. If not get the r34s and hids and aim them down.

I installed HID's on my 96 back when I had it, and it was a total glare to on coming traffic. They were 8k's.

Projector retro is the only real way to go... If you can't find the time or don't want to attempt it yourself, find someone/some company that will. Plenty of those in the HID Planet forums.

Unless U are retroing dont do HIDs with that pitted styled lens I got a 6k kit on my car and the glare for the other drivers is terrible my lights are pretty much aimed at the ground right in front of the car battling it out with my fogs lol to make it easier on them even if U do have cleared lens it is still pushing it with HIDs do a retro look for some TL Bi-Xenon or FX Bi-Xenon projectors the are not that much U can find them for just under $100 shipped if U look around I'll be retroing myself pretty soon
