I have a problem, called "Progressive speed control".Not really, but I do like to go fast when nobody else is around. Then when my Maxima started having CB joint problems,I had to go slower than the actually speed limit, now its just sitting on the side of my house, due to a wreck.

I drive decently, try not to speed too much, accelerate real quick when I want with out even boosting too hard but when a really fast car comes by my side on the highway I find it very hard to resist a fast drive by followed by a nice 75-120km/h race.
On regular driving day to day I'll hit red line only a few times. Love ripping on to the highway pedal to the floor, always used to baby the throttle into gear and drive hard only when I was racing but now since I did the PAR 1st-4th gear set (first ever maxima gear set!) I'm able to boost and boost and boost and shift with no fear of blowing a gear!

I drive normally in town; shifts between 2.5k & 3k. Once I'm on the highway, I take it pretty easy at 65 - 75 mph, which is within the speed limit or close to it.

That is until someone is going WAAAAAAAY slower than the flow of traffic in the passing lane - then I bust out the race track style high speed extremely too close for comfort lane changes and cut the b*stard off. I'll probably get killed doing that one day...

Very lightly. Occasionally punching it to pass someone or shoot a gap. It's a stock auto VQ35, which is quite boring compared to my Z so its easy to drive the Maxima lightly.

I never stop entirely, i roll at stop signs and lights. i don't hit the break at turns...i drive efectively to get the best mpg. This is because i have a lead foot next to any rice burner looking for a show....i don't street race, but i can help showing off some power. MPG's range from 19 to 30 depending on how much money is in my pocket for fuel. I think one time i coasted for 30 miles because i had no cash. lol im broke :0

Where I live you drive 75-85 in a 65 or you get some dirty looks and jestures. I love my 0-60 and in this car the 60-80 is just as exciting.

I usually drive it pretty easy shifting at 3k. An 60 on the highway in the slow lane in 5th gear.
Did i mention i have 10 points on my license? And it takes premium.

Depends on my mood, and ITS mood.
Anything from careful and mellow to holding in 2nd until 6500rpm and locking ABS in corner's.

How do you drive your Maxima? Are you a leadfoot? Do you baby it? What RPM do you usually take it to when you accelerate? Do you like to weave through traffic?

You can even throw in your gas mileage if you like.

I usually drive my car up to 3.5k RPM, sometimes 4k. I like how the engine sounds up in that RPM range. I'm currently getting anywhere between 17 to 19 MPG in city.(Gonna replace KS within the next two months.)

Discuss your driving habits here.

I usually keep the RPM on my Max b/w 3K to 4.5K, once a while i'll go to 5K

I drive normally, shift at 2.5k or 3k. Certain songs that come on, and the proper part of the song, I'll go half or 3/4th throttle.

When ever i need to merge... I use my merging power. other than that, pretty tame driving till badly provoked.

Try to drive her pretty smooth, with the price of gas and all up here. But I love opening up on the highway to get around those rolling roadblocks. My wife just rolls her eyes ;-)

Im pretty calm driving until some hotboxed honda pulls up next to me revvin like a fool thinking I'm an automatic...

The 2k2 6spd gets about 21.8 mpg, shift at 2.5-3.5rpms and i skip shift, 1-3-5 or 2-4-6. Mainly 2-4-6 cause my 3rd gear syncro is messed up so everytime I go to shift into 3rd it sounds like i dont know how to drive a standard and grinds.

i baby my max. all maintanence is always done on time, and she gets washed every week.
the way i drive her is a whole different story though. i hit triple digits several times per week, and i've mastered the art of weaving through traffic.

Going out of your way to drive recklessly and cut people off FTL

Never stopping for stop signs/stoplights FTL

"Mastering" weaving through traffic FTL

I am not saying I drive like an average motorist or I have never cut anyone off but I don't go around boasting about it

As for driving like a grandma I don't think that's flame-worthy, but I don't understand what the point of a car enthusiast never testing the limits is. If you're not curious what your car can do, why are you interested in the car? It looks pretty?

I'm usually a pretty average driver. Mostly highway miles and the read out says 26.9mpg. I love to get on it but dont do it too often. Here's a vid of how I like to drive when there's no one around. The SES light is one of the O2 sensors after the cat so it's nothing big oh, and dont mind the camera work cause i was holding the camera and steering with one hand then shifting with the other.

No different than I've driven any other car - moderate to brisk acceleration most of the time shifting at 3000 or so, occasional WOT for a couple of gears coming off a stop without using a drag-race wheelspinning start, steady throttle on the highway without using cruise control, no serious speeding . . . . . . and very hard cornering any clear-lane chance I get. Yeah, this last item probably costs me a nickle or three each time (mostly due to the downshifting) - which makes it cheap fun and good therapy.

mine is auto so I try to control it as much as possible but still the computer does all the work. I have the O/D off when in town so that I get a bit more response. Depending on traffic I drive different. I like getting up to the speed limit fast, meaning many times in 1st gear. Sometimes there are people that **** me off so I step on it until they disappear in the mirrors. I've always believes that its good for a car to be driven hard every ones in a while so I do it. I'm getting about 21mpg in town and 29 mpg highway at 80+ mph

Like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde

Sometimes I will just cruise her, listen to adult contempoary and go with the flow of the traffic like all the other dead-eyed commuters.

Sometimes I am a bat out of hell, manual shifting the auto, shooting the apex of the turn tires screeching in protest flying across the freeway like a mad cheeta on fire blasting System of a down.

It all depends on the mood...
