Will you always own a maxima?
I love my Nissan too, but I can't sick with one car forever IF I have the money to get something different. I will always prob stay import now though. MY next cars I have planned when I get the money are a BMW 330i, G35C, or WRX. They are all under 17K cars used so If I get the money sometime I can get those prob in 2-3 years. Other then that my Maxi is good for me now and I don't want anything else in its price range for what it is worth, because you prob won't get too much better or quicker. Unless it is a busted piece of **** you have to fix up.
got my 99 maxima SE 5spd in 2004 still going hard got 190k on the body got an 01 AE motor with 40k and 01 AE lsd tranny and S/C'ed and all gonna be 5yrs i own this maxima and i love my car to death will never get rid of it
When I get my 4th gen I plan on keeping it until it dies. The problem is, the later Maximas don't appeal to me very much. I might jump ship and look at an IS350 or whatever Lexus has out at that time.
my first car was my 4th gen. ill always have that car so yes ill always have a Maxima. i just purchased a 5.5 gen i love my maxima's ill have other cars but my heart will be with Nissan. they have built a reliable vehicle.
I love nissan because they continue to come out with great cars and their engines/trannies and styling of their cars are great!
As long as they continue in this direction I will continue to buy nissan!!!

I've owned 18 cars/trucks/suv's in my time and the last 14 have been a Nissan in one form or another. It's safe to say I may not always have this Maxima, but as long as Nissan remains it's own entity, I'll be buying Nissan.
Here's a run-down of previously owned vehicles:
'77 Honda Civic -- my first car, $500 cash
'80 Cutlass -- 2 of them actually, a 4 door, and a supreme, why did I buy domestic?
'79 Toyota P/U -- SR5 package, great memories attached with this one
Nissan 720 -- 3 of these, an '84 SC, and 2 '86 KC's, one with the "ST" package
Nissan H/B -- 4 of these also, '86.5 base, '86.5 SE V6, '95 with rusted frame and
228k miles, and currently own a '93 SE V6 with 6" of lift and 33's
'95 Pathfinder -- Beige beauty with 3" sus lift and 31's, and some other mods
'03 Xterra -- Had to get rid of when both of us lost our jobs
'97 200SX -- Hated it, slow-*** auto POS
'97 Altima -- Currently driven by the wife, $1800 cash, best damned car I've owned
Maxima's -- 3 of these also, first was an '87 (my favorite Max), 2nd was an '02 SE,
was totalled in a 7 car pile up, and currently, '01 SE 5 spd bought 3

I don't know. I've had 3 max's and loved all three. But to go to a 7th gen I'm just not seeing it. I'm think about getting another 5th Gen after this one is paid off or maybe the new 370Z.
i told myself i'd drive my 03 maxima into the ground. or until it got totaled. which is what happened: girl in a rav4 crashed into me (head-on, she went over the double solids). now i drive an 08 subaru impreza wrx STi. turbocharged awd ftw.
This is my first nissan i have owned and have not been disappointed yet. It is one of the most comfortable cars i have driven and my friends agree as well. I really like the manual transmission holds up nicely and overall find it to be a great car. When i get rid of this car depending on the reason i will probably buy another.
I am not sure if i will always own a maxima but this is my second one. My very first car was a 1985 Maxima SE. I currently own a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE. I am hoping to buy a 2005 Nissan Maxima or a 2005 Lexus IS300
