So the mount broke and it is now hanging, Im getting worried as it is putting alot of stress where it connects to the engine!! I have pics but don't know how to post it. Please help, its the rubber mount that attaches to the inner wall of the engine bay that has corroded itself off!! Share your thoughts on how to fix this! '04 SE

may need something a little stronger, there seems to be a screw there but its incredibly difficult to get to. Im curious if anyone else has ever experienced this before and how they fixed it. Appreciate the response, please keep them coming!!

 

maybe a hose clamp around the piping and somehow stick a long bolt through it in to a hole on the frame?? Kinda hard to explain. but you can probably conjure up something with a hose clamp and a few bolts.

Guys, thanks for your response, I emailed Fujita and await their word!!

 

Call Jujita maybe they'll fix it under warranty! If not...Fabricate a channel like bracket secure one side to the intake tube with worm clamps and drill a hole in the other side and secure it with a bolt.

 

Larger thread screw, washer, rubber grommet, profit?

 

The problem with drilling a new hole, is the lack of space to actually get in there to but a bolt on. Also, finding a bolt that is durrable enough that wont break from wear and tear or stress.This is a job for my contractor buddy to help me with!! I emailed Fujita yesterday without a repsonse as of this email. Im just curious if this has happened to anyone else before???

 

Ok so Arti at Fujita got my email and is mailing me out the new parts. He's was pretty cool, told me that obviously it is a wear and tear item, but it may have broke because I tightened the bolt too much. He said leave a little play so the rubber mount has the ability to absorb the vibration/movement. Well, time to jimmy rig it until the parts come in! Thanks for the feedback fellas, hope this thread helps someone else out in the future!
