What Size Wheels Work Best With The Maxima ?

Hey everybody I just purchased a 2002 Maxima about a month ago and I really love it after owning 4 Hondas before this car I can say the Maxima really kicks ***.......

I am ready to purchase rims for the car but since all my knowledge is honda based I was wondering would 19's rub on the car ? Whats the best tire size and rim size for these cars.

What springs / coil overs should I use ?

Oh yeah and I was wondering does anybody have pics of a newer Maxima on Racing Hart M5's ?

Ok I think I have asked enough questions for one day thanks for you help!

I don't think the 19's would rub, that's just a plus two size from the stock 17's (assuming you got an SE) what you should be concerned with is offset and rim width, as well as keeping the overall circumferance of the tire the same to keep the speedometer/odometer on track http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html seeing as how you just got a 2002 max and already want custom wheels, i'm assuming your ok on the finance department. i'm trying to go with the cattman coilovers eventually. they seat an inch above the normal top of the strut tower, so bottoming out is next to impossible, i think they have 4 inches of adjustable travel, and come with KYB AGX's already in them. I think they have a small amount of built-in camber ajustment as well, pretty much everything you could think of. http://www.cattman.com/suspension_prod.shtml#coilovers

Some people are running 19's. The might possibly rub when you lower it on bumps, but I can't be sure. 17's and 18's are upgrades a lot of people do.

If you get 19's your performance will most likely go to hell. If you have an SE i'd just save my money and keep the rims. They are pretty nice. But, if you don't care about that, I know Konig Verdicts in 19" would look NICE on your Max.

If you want 19"s get a light 19" like mine. You can see pics on my web page. Go with a 245 width for great stability. 19x 8.5 or 9 with that width. With the offset i have everything is fine as good as any 8.5 wheel. You could get 20"s if you wanted. By the way with my 19"s the car is not really that much slower.
