lost an inch off my shaft.

Installed a new Momo shifter **** yesterday. Getting the old Stock **** was a b!+ch. After cranking it with a wrench and a rag wrapped aroung the **** for a few minutes, it finally came off. After putting on the new Momo **** I didn't like the way it looked. The **** sat too high for my liking, so I chopped off about 1 inch from the stem with a saw. Now it looks nice

No, cutting the Shaft doesn't make it a SS shifter , honestly. You'd have to buy a kit.
