What cars confront you the most?

What kind of people/cars try to get you to race the most? Yeah this isn't exactly a deep topic but I do find some patterns.

Quite often I will get a minivan or SUV pull beside me and then stomp on the gas when the light go green (I can hear the engine scream). Actually some times these SUV/Vans keep up with me the first little while.

Then there are the Sunbirds and Cavaliers that ALMOST ALWAYS will pull beside me instead of staying behind me at the lights. Surprisingly I don't see many GTPs wanting to race. I guess "if you know you are fast, you don't need to prove yourself".

By the way, should a gen5 Max be able to hang with the Mustang GTs? I know a non-stock GT or Cobra would be out of the question. Some Stang owners are pretty cool but others can be rather annoying, zipping in and out of traffic, and stomping on the gas at every light when no one cares to race. One time while on the way to a football game some Stang would not let us merge and my friends had to hold me down so I would not confront the dude.

Starting to see a few RSX and WRX in town. Nice little fast cars.

All years of Hondas....damn '86 Acords leave me alone! only good thing about living in my town is that majority of the "importers" are 100% ricers....Altezzas and stickers! so my slow *** VG can usually have a field day with these fools!!!

Funny because cars that usually mess with me are cars that have no chance of beating me, even if I give them a head start!

Fast cars don't even bother with me. Maybe they think I'm not worthy? I had one new Mustang GT driver who thought that way, that's until I beat him senseless. At the next light, he had to turn, as he turned while I was still waiting for the green light, he flicked me off. WTH? Sore loser? And I was about to say good race, wave, or smile. Geez! I thought about going after him to give him some more spanking, but thought better because he wasn't worth it.

And your point?

Well, an auto 3rd gen can't go up against many...but 127hp and 160hp Civics are quite the challenge. V6 Camaro...that was sick (I won).
Not quite as good as you 2k2 6-spd.

I know your intention...might want to PM Phatguy to join you.

Pontiac Sunfires try to mess with me the most. I have probably 2 sunfire races for every other race I have.

A guy in an ML55 AMG cut me off worse than I've ever been cut off before on the highway, came within INCHES of me. I was in my civic. He was frickin flying. I tried chasing him but he blew my civic out of the water... they run 0-60 in like 6.8 and top out at like 140. I had my civic up to 125 chasing when the traffic opened up but he was just plain gone. In the Max it would be a different story though (until I hit my governor) heh.

Completely stock with stock tires:

87-88 LX 5.0 14.4-14.7
89-93 LX 5.0 14.7-14.8
94-95 GTs 14.8-15.0
96-98 GTs 14.9-15.2
99-01 GTs 14.2-13.9

Condition of car, tuning, mileage will affect these numbers. But finding a bone stock Mustang (especially the older ones) is near impossible because removing the air silencer ($0) gains 1-2hp and raising the timing to 14 deg (from stock 8-10deg) gains about 8-12hp. This usually drops the above time by .20 sec.

Here's what tries to race me the most:

Big Trucks: raised Z71's, V10 Dodges, etc.. Now, why they try me, I dont know...

V-6 Rustangs and Crapmaro's

The occasional crapped out DSM or old Ford Probe

Strangely enough, the little rice-boys dont try me that much. Even if I instigate the race, they'll never go. People ALWAYS try to race my buddy in his Civic and all he has is a muffler, and a body kit! I guess I should add just a tad of rice-ness to my car so I can get some more runs.

There are TONS of gran prix's and taurus's around me, so that's who I crush the most. Then there is the occasional F4 Phantom, or the F18 Hornet, but they usually chicken out at 1,500 mph. Guess they can't keep up with my nearly stock auto VG!

No cars ever try to race me. That might be because my car "Looks" stock. If I wanna race, I have to induce it because the other car thinks they are racing a 4 door granny mobile. Well, they are.
