When it rains it pours......

Anyways after getting hit in a parking lot last week this happens.

Tonight im driving down a normally busy road...when i catch something to my left side.. i realize it is a huge deer. I hit the brakes and i see it start running toward the car.....now i lock up the brakes. Next thing i see are his hooves then i feel glass showering down on my face. I slide to a stop, smoke everywhere. I have no windshield left, I have no passenger window left. I get out of the car after calling 911 and my hood is dented and pushed in badly....the headlight is pushed into the engine bay, my corner lights and front lip are hanging, and my door piller is bent badly.... but the good news is im ok.

Ill post the pics as soon as i can take some.
my car wont be the same for a while

Why is everyone hitting a deer or getting in an accident lately. It's no fun; STOP it.

Deer have caused me problems too. Hunting started a week ago today, I've only seen 2 deer since (down from about 4 a day). Around here people mostly hit the deer, but occasionally I hear stories of the deer hitting the car. At least you didn't react by swerving away, I know 2 people around here that rolled their cars trying to swerve away from deer.

Hope everything works out with your car.

damn man!!!!!! I feel for you! that sucks....

I'm **** scared to drive upstate where there is dangers of hitting a deer on some roads. Especially narrow *** roads with the forest everywhere, those ****in deer hop right over the tiny 5 foot fences they put there and jog across the roads... damn, they have a special insurance feature for protection against deer right? Damn, I don't have that....

there are always deer around here.....

(austin, texas)

i almost hit one on hwy 71 last night, I had just turned onto the road, so I was not going very fast and was able to stop.

the deer in my neighborhood are even dumber, I just whiz right past them, without slowing down, they don't even bat an eyelash. as long as they are not standing in the road, they are not a problem.

my dad was driving at night once, and a deer ran into him. There was a big dent in the side on his car where the deer hit...

its the LAST thing i was looking for in the metro atlanta area on a busy road. If it had stood still i would have been fine.... but instead just as i was passing it... it tried to jump my car and met the windshield.. from what i can see.... i need a new front bumper, new hood, front windshield, passenger window, headlight, and dings taken out of my passenger door.

if you said tht your head light was ushed into your hood.. you are probablly going to need to the support brackets underneath as well. the only way to tell is to pop the hood. Easily over $1000 with all of the stuff you have listed...thank god for insurance.

if you can just get the $ for the stuff and not the parts, maybe a front end conversion could be done? just an idea, i don't know if u like it or not..

i thought about that.... but there is enough damage that needs to be fixed that there wouldnt be enough money left over to do something like this.... if i didnt have a body kit then i could buy one and not get somethings painted but i alreaady do.... so im taking the extra money and getting the whole car painted. Id rather have perfect flawless paint :cough: MING :cough: than something really crazy.

I almost hit a deer the other night. Going down a country road speed limit is 50.....no street lights and just woods around. I come around a corner and there is this deer just standing in the middle of my land looking around......I hit the brakes and then he took off.......I might have hit him if he didn't run off.

Im sure hitting a deer going 50mph wouldn't have been fun

Glad to hear your ok
