Need help choosing wheel width!@#

hey all, im planning on getting theese wheels for my 97' maxima:

i know i want 17's, but what width would be the best? i want the best handling possible, but i dont want my tires popping out from the side of my car ;] All ima be doin with my max is everyday driving and weekend racing/drag.

8". Do you really want OZ wheels. They are very nice wheels, but more on the heavy side like MOMO.

yeah 8" should be good. wrap it up with some 235/45/17s.

yea I am getting 17's too, I have an intrax drop though, what do you guys think? I am getting the Nakayama Racing Six Speeds, 17"x7.5 I think. And I think I am going to get those Nankang tires from discount tire direct.com, they are only like 92 bucks each for 17s, and they have a pretty good treadwear rating too of 340, The Kumhos I have now are 280 and they wore out like a SOB

shoot if you can afford oz then you can get some volk 17,8" te-37's. Their HOTTTTTT!!!!

I thought the racing six speeds doesn't come in the offset that fits the maxima. Wasn't Capmaxima99 running those? He had to use spacers.
