3 good races this weekend...(kinda long)
And they were all Maximas, of course. I was on my way back from Charlotte yesterday, and was cruising along at about 80 or so when I see two pairs of headlights coming up fast in my rearview. I slowed a little and a minute later a 4th Gen flys by with a 5th Gen just behind him. I figured what the hell, got on it, and caught them when the 4th Gen flashed his hazards (by now he was a good bit ahead of the 5th). The 5G moved up alongside the 4G on the right and I shot next to him in the left lane and matched speeds. The 4G gunned it with both of us following suit. I stayed right with the 4G while the 5G started dropping back from both of us. A few seconds later I was passing him and ended it 4 or so carlengths ahead. He pulled up next to me, rolled down his window, and said, "I have intake and y-pipe, whaddya got?" I told him intake and y-pipe also, he gave me the thumbs up and took off. I'm assuming the other 5G was stock.
Third race was on my way home from the naval station here in Va. Beach. I was cruising along about 80 and see another 4G Max's headlights coming up pretty quick. Turns out he saw my clears, and was targeting me. Anyways, we waited for the car ahead to move over, he gunned it as I expected, and I followed. I was a couple carlengths behind to start and couldn't catch him for ****. We had to slow down a bit again for traffic, and once it cleared, he gunned it again. He moved over a lane, and for a while I wasn't falling back, but wasn't catching him either. At about 115 or so, he started to pull on me a little, and by 125 I realized he was gonna keep pulling and there wasn't any way I was gonna get him, especially with my limiter coming up at 132. I flashed my brights signalling his victory, and pulled up next to him. He agreed to let me have a look at his car off the next exit, so I followed him to a gas station. I was pretty curious as to what the hell that 4G had to do that to me, especially when he said it was an auto. Turns out he had intake, y-pipe and the JWT ECU. Also, as it turns out, it was Washington DC Maxima, down for a conference here in Va. Beach. We BS'd for a while, and as it turns out, we were on his exit anyways, and we both proceeded to a light going towards his hotel, and my way home. I asked him if he wanted to go from the light once or twice to see if I could salvage some of my Maxima ego and he said sure. We went twice, for fairly short distances, and I was able to pull on him both times by a little. We'd already passed his hotel, so we both went our separate ways for the night. I was pretty impressed with DC Max's 4G, especially after beating out the other one just a few hours earlier. All in all, a good day of races, and I even got to meet another .org member (besides medic, andyxxl, dmb, and theblue). I've always heard that the ECU doesn't do jack, but after last night it's gotta be worth it. Now if only they'd come out with that damn chip for 5G's...Nice races DC Max!

Very nice. I wish I could run into fellow Maxima enthusiasts for a friendly race in my area. Too bad most of them aren't enthusiasts and almost always they're stock. Oh well...again, very nice.
